Meet The Teams

The Forge
Inspired by the blacksmithing roots of Cannonsburgh, The Forge is built on discipline, consistency, and growth under pressure. This team believes that improvement isn’t accidental—it’s earned through repetition, focus, and a willingness to embrace the grind. Every match becomes part of the process, where players are sharpened through competition and strengthened through challenge.
The Forge doesn’t rely on flash or momentum swings. Instead, they bring a steady, composed style of play that values execution, trust, and resilience. Long rallies don’t wear them down—they refine them. Tough moments don’t break them—they reveal what they’re made of.
Over time, that mindset creates something different. Players who are dependable. Teams that are connected. A group that understands that real growth happens when the pressure is highest.
Because at The Forge, the goal isn’t just to win—it’s to become stronger every time you step on the court.

The Rutherford Supercells
The Rutherford Supercells aren’t a fleeting afternoon shower. We are a deliberate, long-track system designed to sustain our rotation from the first serve in June through the high-pressure August playoffs.
The 12-Week Evolution
• Weeks 1–4: The Initiation While other teams are scattered, we spend June organizing. We establish a deep foundation, allowing all six members to feed off the rising summer heat.
• Weeks 5–10: The Intensification July humidity makes other teams sluggish, but it fuels us. We don’t just play through the heat—we use it to keep our rotation permanent and our pressure constant.
• Weeks 11–12: The Tornadic Phase The August playoffs. While "pop-up" teams have dissipated, we reach maximum, self-sustaining intensity exactly when the title is on the line.

Stones River Elite
Stones River Elite (SRE) is a competitive pickleball team based in Murfreesboro, built around a shared commitment to high-level play and strong community. Rooted in the spirit of competition but grounded in respect, SRE brings together players who value disciplined, strategic pickleball while keeping the game welcoming and fun.
The team takes pride in pushing each other to improve, competing hard in matches, and maintaining a culture of friendly sportsmanship on and off the court.

The Bainbridge Alliance
Pickleball was born in 1965 on Bainbridge Island when a crew created a sport that would one day take over the country, including Murfreesboro.
They didn’t know it then, but they weren’t just inventing a game. They were forming the first battalion a crew of players who showed up with whatever gear they had, figured things out on the fly, and played with more heart than technique.
Fast forward to Murfreesboro.
We’ve got better courts, better paddles, and way louder competition but the spirit is the same. Every player who steps onto a Boro court joins that original lineage: scrappy, competitive, and ready to battle for every point like the founders did on day one.

Mount Trashmore Mafia
“Our pickleball game is anything but garbage”
Born at the Murfreesboro landfill and forged on the pickleball court, we turn trash shots into treasure and never let a rally go to waste. This team embraces grit, humor, and an underdog mentality. The Mount Trashmore Mafia plays with swagger and resilience, proving that toughness and team identity can turn any matchup into a battle.

The Stone Defenders
The Stone Defenders are a team built on discipline, consistency, and trust. They don’t rely on flashy plays or risky shots — they rely on doing the right thing, over and over again, until their opponents break.
Every point is earned. Every rally matters.
They pride themselves on strong communication, smart positioning, and the ability to stay composed under pressure. Against the Defenders, nothing comes easy — and nothing is given away.
